In
a distinguished career exceeding 30 years, Mr. Staley has earned
a reputation as one of the nation's leading fund-raising consultants.
Institutions and organizations across the nonprofit spectrum
in the United States and in Europe have benefited from his advice
and counsel. Widely recognized as one of the profession's leading
problem solvers, Mr. Staley led the development of the SR
Class® Program and the firm's
Annual Giving Seminar.
Prior to forming the StaleyRobeson firm, Mr. Staley served as
the Executive Director of a foundation established to develop
a large medical center. He administered all foundation activities,
with special emphasis on its fund-raising program, maintaining
close personal contact with key corporate leaders and philanthropists.
Before his foundation association, he was a member of the
Board of Directors and a senior staff member of a leading
fund-raising firm. An attorney, Mr. Staley practiced law in
New York City before entering the fund-raising profession.
He is a graduate of Bucknell University and the New York University
School of Law.
A
Director of the American Association of Fund-Raising Counsel,
Mr.Staley also serves as a Director, Chairman of the Ethics
Committee, and Vice Chairman of that organization's Trust for
Philanthropy. In addition, he acts as Executive Director of
the Westchester Health Fund, a private foundation, and is a
member of the New York Chapter of the National Society of Fund-Raising
Executives and the Association of Development Officers of Westchester
County (NY). Mr. Staley has served as a faculty member, lecturer
and speaker on fund-raising subjects for a variety of professional
institutions and organizations. He is a resident of Westerly,
